Call for Proposals: Elisabeth and Amelie Fund

Applications are now open for the Elisabeth and Amelie Fund to support sustainable water management in developing countries, among others by financing on-the-spot internships for students from developing countries who are studying in Belgium. The fund takes into consideration an integrated approach to water management that includes technical and/or sociological aspects. The internship will take place in a developing country and will be tied to a master’s thesis or a project from a master’s course worth at least 15 credits. The internship, which should last one to two months, must take place between January 2026 and the end of August 2026. The grant will cover expenses inherent to the internship, up to a maximum of €5,000, and about ten grants shall be awarded. Students from developing countries who are pursuing a master’s level degree and working on a thesis or a course project linked to water management in developing countries are eligible to apply.
